Earth, Water, Fire and Air
2012
The 2012 series Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind draws on the Buddhist concept of the Four Great Elements. Through photography and performance, Lin Chuan-Chu works with natural forces such as earth, rain, wind, and fire. At this stage, he moved beyond simply depicting nature, allowing the body to participate in it directly, so that land, life, time, and death became inseparable from his artistic practice.
